A Diabolical Plan to Prevent Free Speech On the Internet

Big tech companies, like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, have more leverage over freedom than U.S Presidents and Supreme Court justices.

On May 15, 2019 Facebook, Twitter and Google will work with European leaders and the prime minister of New Zealand to partake in a diabolical plan to prevent free speech on the internet. Americans should be flabbergasted. Freedom of speech is being eliminated in Europe. Will America be next?

Big tech companies, like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, have more leverage over freedom than U.S Presidents, Supreme Court justices and law makers. These internet controllers are selling out basic fundamental American rights for riches. The greedy tycoons will do whatever a host country insists. In socialist China, Russia and capitalist Singapore internet freedom is non-existent.

Standing next to French president Emmanuel Macron, Zuckerberg said, “The question of what speech should be acceptable and what is harmful needs to be defined by regulation, by thoughtful governments.” Stated another way, every government, no matter how tyrannical, can be its own thought police.

In the U.S. where censoring of speech is protected by the Constitution, Facebook, Twitter and Google, are enabling their own ideological beliefs to be heard by the public. In contrast, censoring opposition groups like traditional family advocates.

Liberty advocates, like the ACLU, condemn censorship. Liberty advocates caution conservatives and Christians are the targets now but next time, it could be you.

Censorship abuses people’s basic fundamental rights. Big tech companies wield an unchecked balance of power. Internet platforms, like Facebook, can’t prevent people service because their ideological view differs from theirs. If so, they are no longer serving as a platform but rather as a publisher.
